CCSVI at UBC MS Clinic - Information and Support
I have a patient report out of the clinic southeast of Los Angeles, CA with pricing details -- if you want it, please send me a PM or simply reply to this message "hit me!" ~Sandra
Lorin Powell  Jenny had her scan at the Hubbard’s today; we are now in relax mode.We are off to the Zoo tomorrow; Jenny is taking it slow one day at a time. Our hope is this procedure will stop the progression and maybe Jenny will gain a little of her mobility back. Jenny seems to have a little more energy, remember she is only 30 hours post venoplasty.
Tessa Rushton  off to the 'Hat tomorrow - start up of a NEW CCSVI chapter :)
Tessa Rushton  can't make the CCSVI Calgary meeting tonight... saving up to go to the Medicine Hat one tomorrow :)
Tessa Rushton  I LOVE my new personal trainer :) He "gets it" & says I'm in pre-rehab for a month, rehab for a month & then hopefully, my body will be ready for baby step "normal" exercise! Plus - ran into my GP on the way out of the gym & she was really pleased to see that I am even better than a couple of weeks ago! woo hoo!

If it hadn’t been for the media covering Zamboni we probably would never have
heard much, would have been put down as another “miracle cure”...but there were clinical trials already being done in Buffalo by Dr Zivadinov from April/2009with 500 PEOPLE, February/2010 research on another 500!. January/2010 Dr. Sandy McDonald had treated six people, fantastic results, and had tested three hundred... dismissed it ALL
Cure Multiple Sclerosis  My friends at work asked me what my birthday wish was going to be. I never hesitated and I said "For my birthday wish I would love to have a CURE for MS for all my friends and everyone around the world!!" God please honor my wish and stop the suffering of your children!! Amen. God bless everyone. Joe :-)
CCSVI - Egypt
Dr. Sinan, who is leading the Kuwaiti effort to treat as many of their MS patients with the liberation procedure as possible, has made significant use of balloons much larger than those used by other physicians, and has forgone the use of s...tents (due in large part to the orders of his government). He did state that aggressive balloon angioplasty procedures largely negated the need for the use of stents, and was quite adamant that treating valves in the lower part of internal jugular veins cleared up most of the problems seen higher up in those same veins. The other two presenting physicians were more open to the use of stents, but only after balloon angioplasty had failed repeatedly to open narrowed areas of the veins in question. The general consensus seemed to be that the use of stents should be considered a last resort, but that their safety and efficacy profiles appeared to be well within acceptable parameters.
ms-ccsvi-uk  Michele: Still seats available for the conference (October 29th & 30th) but don't leave it too long. Book now at the Essential Health Clinic. Link under the logo.
ms-ccsvi-uk  Michele: Extract from A. Embry's about the MS socs self interest regarding CCSVI is what MS-CCSVI-UK is trying to do:...it is clear that the interests of persons with MS would be best served by halting any support of national MS societies and by supporting groups which are actively promoting the need for CCSVI treatmen......t research and government support for the availability of CCSVI treatment as soon as possible.
Michelle Walsh  words right from Professor Grozdinski's in Bulgaria he said to me "We survived Communism so will you" That is what this feels like right now what about our Rights and Freedoms in Canada! www.angioplastyforall.com
Steve Garvie  These poliutcal , money driven and ego driven games must end...NOW.Peoples lives and well being is at stake. The bandade offered by some provinces will cost time , lives and money.Frankly it is nothing short of insulting.Doing a legal , simple procedure such as angioplasty to save lives should not be difficult.
Steve Garvie  prediction...until they use the real experts , we will not go forward and we are doomed to the same results.
Steve Garvie  I listened to the press conference of the health ministers. Not only did they defend the neurologists that made the recomendations but persisted in having the wrong people do thier sham studies and the wrong people follow this up.Thier agenda is preset and the results are to a point already set in stone.
Lauri Leach That's exactly what I thought, I was so angry that they are still looking to Neuro's for this!

Via Andrea Pittman Casti:
Hi everyone, it's me. They did open both jugulars, azygos was fine.
They did balloon the smal, vein in the chest as well. I wish I could
tell you are that I am feeling great, but that is not the case. It may
still be the drugs, since I was on the table for 4 hours

Christopher Alkenbrack  I find it interesting that we can find the minutes online for other meetings of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research http://www.cihr-irsc.gc.ca/e/13969.html, but not the ones from the secret meeting that took place on August 26 at 160 Elgin street where the MS Society and the CIHR met to recommend to the Canadian... Health Minister NOT to fund pancanadian trials on CCSVI.

III Advisory Board Meeting Minutes - CIHR
Christopher Alkenbrack
I had three points of information to correct the misinformation that was given:
1. The person who died had a haemmorrhage NOT FROM THE PROCEDURE but from a blood thinner.
2. The German and Swedish studies have already been debunked by Haack...e, Sclafani, and several other scientists. They actually PROVE THE EXISTENCE OF CCSVI.
3. The Canadian MS Society posted a warning on their site on the morning of November 23rd...it was only after the outcry of several patients that the stepped up to fund this. SO THEIR LINE OF "WE WERE THE FIRST, WE WERE THE FIRST" sounds like the type of competition we would see from a Kindergarten class.
Yvonne Andersen  Feeling much better today than I did yesterday! Thank Goodness! Making biscuits to go with Roast beef leftovers for supper tonight. Waiting for a call from someone who found me through CCSVI Locator, then taking Riley to the vet for her annual appointment. :-)
Yvonne Andersen  As you all know I am doing an informational session here in NS the end of October. I am looking for people who have been liberated in places other than NY who are willing to talk with others through email to give them information on the place they were angio'd. Details like hotels, travel, their experience, etc. Ple...ase send me a private message if you are willing to do this.
*Multiple Sclerosis Information
Tracy Somers  ok, where is the CCSVI COVERAGE? this is not a publisity stunt or a joke! PEOPLE ARE DYING FROM TYSABRI ... NOT CCSVI!!!!
Multiple Sclerosis Information There has been a fair bit of discussion on CCSVI on the page. Do you have any topics you wish us to cover?
Edna Lee  I was very pleased to receive a phone call from Dr. Kirtsy Duncan M.P. Etibicoke North regarding her efforts to have CCSVI clinical trials in Canada. Dr. Duncan is a member of the federal health committee and a parliamentarian champion in the fight for MS patients having Canadian CCSVI clinical trials.
Dawn Skinner  This is my Friend Mitch who was treated in Germany 2 months ago. Mitch doesn't do the fb thing or youtube, in fact it was his sister Daina who made his treatment and recovery a reality. I know it's a tad long, but worth the view. Thanks Daina for helping Mitch and in turn, helping the rest of us and especially those...... who don't know about CCSVI or it's treatment.
